This winter could be a mild one for Central Europe – this according to the latest forecasts
Weather services have published their winter predictions. The next few months may see predominantly moist air from the Atlantic streaming to Central Europe.
Why this is interesting. In the last few days, inhabitants of the Eastern US have been freezing in a record cold spell. In Central Europe, the weather at the moment is considerably milder, even though there are Alpine passes that have already had to be closed due to snowfall. The European earth observation programme, Copernicus, is reporting now on how this winter may turn out.
